He found success in high school with his acceptance into the Governor’s School for the Performing Arts and performing as a soloist with the NKY Youth Sinfonia after wining the first place prize in the Julia Bartles Concerto Competition. He has been accepted to multiple other prestigious string education and performance programs such as Aria Summer Academy and the Cincinnati Conservatory Cello Intensive. He also regularly teaches with the Louisville summer cello summit.
Benjamin graduated with an undergraduate degree in cello performance from the University of Louisville in 2024 studying under Professor Paul York. He is now teaching Music Theory as a Graduate Teaching Assistant while completing a master’s degree in string pedagogy and music education with an emphasis in cello performance.
